Today was shots day.....................

and she did so much better than I expected. Her 2 month shots were a nightmare. She screamed randomly all night long and had a fever for 3 days. Today, she screamed for about 2 minutes and it was done. She has been pretty happy all day. I made daddy be the bad guy today though. I couldn't hold her arms and look in her eyes when they did it. Instead I sat on the chair with my fingers in my ears humming to myself. Childish I know but it worked, I didn't cry this time.

She is actually asleep right now(totallly unheard of in this house) and I think I may be able to actually *gasp* do something productive. LOL

Wow so much is happening at once.

Our family has had very trying times lately. In the short course of two months, my oldest and middle child both had broken bones, my infant daughter's reflux is at it's worst, she is also teething, my grandmother passed away and we had to put our dog who has cancer to sleep. I sure hope this is the end of the bad because I have no idea how much more I can take. Bring on the good times! I can sure use it.

On a really exciting note, I am preparing to open my new store! http://notsosweetboutique.etsy.com/ I can't wait to get it fully running. I am opening a new store because I'm sick of all the cookie cutter kids clothes with the cutesy-tootsy sayings and pictures. I like funny, off the wall things and I want my daughter to stand out in a crowd. So I am going to help everyone's kids stand out in a crowd :) I'm starting with mostly clippies, hair accesories and baby leg warmers but I will be adding dresses, tutus, pants, shirts, slippers, etc soon. With all that has been going on, I haven't had a chance to sit down with my sewing machine.

My daughter goes in for her 4 month shots tomorrow. OH MY GOD I died at her 2 month shots. I can't be in the room this time, I just can't. :( So I am making my husband do it. At least I know he won't cry LOL I just can't look at her in pain. I mean look at her face could you?

See didn't think so. :oP

Baby it's cold outside.

Where did that 90 degree day we had just two short days ago go to? It was too hot to take pictures of my latest creations and now it's freezing and overcast. UGH! The sun is nowhere to be seen. Wisconsin weather is for the birds! I have been dressing the baby in long pants and long sleeve shirts which really stinks because I am just learning how to sew and I just made her a skirt without using a pattern. Patterns scare me. Way to many parts to them. I have to charge up my camera and I post some pics of it tomorrow. I am really proud of myself!

Don't forget my blog contest for a set of nursery letters below!!!!!!

Time for a contest!

I have be blogging for a month now and to celebrate, I am having a giveaway. I don't want a boring "post my blog link all over the Internet" type of contest. I want to do something fun and unique. I will be giving away one set of nursery letters. You can choose between your child's first name or a word (ie. love, play, etc..) I will paint them however you wish. You can see examples of my work in my etsy store: http://tlscreations08.etsy.com/

How to enter:

Post my blog link everywhere you can! Kidding of course LOL (Unless of course you really want to and then I have to tell you that you rock!)

The way to enter the contest is to write one sentence about my etsy store and post it into the comment section of this blog post. Sounds easy right? WRONG. There is a catch. The sentence you post must not contain the letter "E" The sentence must make sense and use actual words that can be found on http://dictionary.com/

Enter by date:

This contest will run until September 30th, 2008 at 11:59pm CST. The winner will be chosen at random by my parrot Pavi

I will place all entries in a hat and my bird (isn't he handsome) will pick one paper completely at random.

Good luck :)

Our Labor Day camping trip

We decided to go to Christmas Mountain in Wisconsin Dells with my step mom, little sister, best friend, her boyfriend and their 5 children. In total there were 14 people including the baby. Everyone had a blast. On Saturday they had a father and son fishing tournament. Since we have 3 girls and my friend has 2 boys, my husband was her son's "father". They came in second and my friends boyfriend and his son came in first. For their prize they won tickets to Mt. Olympus(a water park) for all of us. It was great to get $450 worth of tickets for free! We took the baby in the kiddie pool and I put her underwater for the first time. She seems to really like water because she was smiling the whole time. I can't wait to take her swimming again :)
